UPDATE ON FT. MCDERMITT AREA WILD HORSES JUST GATHERED: I heard that 200 horses went to kill buyers of the ca. 450 wild horses from the Ft. McDermitt wild horse roundup. but that there is still a chance of rescuing some of these horses by calling Teresa Cook at 760-840-9106. One of the kill buyers is willing to cut a deal, but this must happen right away.. So far over 100 of the wild horses have been rescued from the kill buyers and many of these need homes. Tomorrow the fate of the unbranded ones will be decided by US Forest Service, it appears. Also Lillian and Suzanne need help with expenses, they have rescued many of the horses and have been pulling them with Lillian’s trailer. Number to call here is 775-790-5668. I have given a legal statement to secure the place of these horses in their original area and to get them set back free! I have observed this herd going back years.
